Evangelical Alliances, Sri Lanka
The goal of Ron and Marsha Navamanie’s work is to train believers
in Sri Lanka to effectively communicate the gospel to those (99% of Sri
Lankans) who do not know Jesus Christ personally.
Gospel Association of India
The Gospel Association of India is a recognizable force in India that was
founded by the father of the current president, Yesu Bandela. G.A.I.
ministers to more than 120 churches through Easter and Christmas television
programs, village crusades, retreats, educational ministries, financial
support to the needy, pastoral leadership conferences and programs for children,
abused women and the elderly. As one of our covenant partners, Yesu and
Colonial have formed a partnership through many visits by Yesu to our community
and a recent trip by Jeff Lindsay, Joyce Schwartz and Mike Marti to G.A.I.
Integra Ventures USA, Central and Eastern Europe
The mission of The Integra Venture is to plant hundreds of small businesses
in the depressed and developing areas of Central and Eastern Europe. The
co-operative, led by Dave Getsch, helps these businesses operate with integrity,
profitability, and as responsible contributors to their communities to become ‘islands
of Integrity.’
International Christian Ministries, Rwanda
For over ten years, Colonial Church has been a wonderful partner with International
Christian Ministries (I.C.M.) in Kitale, Kenya. Greg and Deb Snell (Greg,
the former Minister of Missions (1990-1996) have been working with ICM since
1996 serving the ICM theological school. All students have been
in ministry for at least three years and are sent by their church to receive
an A.A., B.A., or M.A. degree that is integrated with their church work.
International Christian Ministries, Kenya
Rev. John Masonik and his wife Caroline working as the hands and feet of
God by accomplishing their vision of reaching out to the children and youth
through VBS, Youth Camps, and to parents through Moms-in-touch and Adult
Sunday School.
International Foundation, Africa
Sam and Lynn Owen are missionaries serving in Africa in association with
the International Foundation. Their mission is one of outreach, encouragement
and discipleship among individuals and small groups in business, professional
and governmental sectors in the East African region.
Kulpahar Christian School, India
Sharon Cunningham, a Colonial member, is a missionary working with the
Kulpahar Christian School in India which serves children from the community
as well as children from all parts of the region. They provide food,
education, and medical care while sharing God’s love.
Quiquijana, Peru
Our second international covenant partner is with the 17 villages of Quiquijana,
Peru. For over five years, Colonial has supported this World Vision
Area Development Project through financial support, prayer, most importantly
by sending teams of people. We have sent teams every summer since
1999 to work with the communities of Pamapquehuar, Huraypata and Usi to
further their own initiatives in village development by providing potable
water sources, programs for harvesting additional crops in one calendar
year and Guinea Pig breeding as well as bringing many medical, educational
and hygienic products donated by many of our Colonial members.
The Navigators, Global
The Navigators is a missionary organization begun in the 1930s whose focus
in Christian evangelism worldwide. Dave and Sherry Hall are Colonial
members who have been working to share Jesus and His Kingdom in culturally
appropriate ways locally and internationally for many years with our support.
The Pilgrim Center for Reconciliation, Rwanda/Brundi
Founded by our own Senior Minister Emeritus, Arthur Rouner and his wife
Molly work in Rwanda and Brundi to bring people together in reconciliation
who have been separated or hurt by war, genocide or other traumas by training
church and government leaders.
Twin City Evangelical Missionary, Russia
Focused on leadership development in Russia, Matt and Terri Miller, Wooddale
church members, teach courses in Bible colleges and seminaries. Working
with our support since 1998, they have been preparing their Russian students
to witness effectively for Christ. They have been involved in supporting
the church planting movement in Russia as well.
Vernacular Video Ministries, Philippines
Founded in 1992, Vernacular Video Ministry International is a unique and
innovative Christian mission reaching out to the cultural minority groups
of the Cordillea region of the Philippines, by means of contextualized video
and audiotapes produced by the people of that region in the languages of
those peoples.
Wycliffe Bible Translators, Mozambique
Wycliffe Bible Translators translates the
Bible into local languages around the world. Wycliffe translators are
currently working on Bible translation in 1,379 languages, representing 97
different countries. Dave and Jan Harthan have served with Wycliffe in
partnership with Colonial Church of Edina for over 30 years in Brazil and
Mozambique. In 2007 the Harthans began a new ministry in support of Bible
translation. They are building relationships with Christian foundations,
and submitting proposals to fund Bible translation projects around the
world. This is part of Wycliffe's Vision 2025, which states the goal of
starting a Bible translation program for every people group in the world
that needs one by the year 2025.
